IRBC is unashamedly committed to the historic reformed faith. This means that all of its staff members and all those that desire to take the Basic Training Course in Reformed Biblical Counseling must subscribe to at least one of the historic reformed confessions listed below. These confessions do not have the same authority as the Bible, which alone is God-breathed, but they do have derived authority in that they are faithful summaries of the principles contained in God's Word. In these times of feeling-based "morality", we want to be accountable to the time-tested principles of Scripture. The confessions lay out these principles in clear/succinct ways.
